Primex provides custom plastic sheet extrusion, compounds, colorants and a myriad of value added services for many applications including food, cosmetic and medical packaging; bottles and closures; toys, horticultural and industrial products; dunnage and automotive components.
Primex operates eight manufacturing facilities throughout the country, including two color and compounding operations, a recycling operation, a chemical laboratory and its own distribution system.
We are currently seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, for our Richmond, Indiana facility.
Minimum 2 years' experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, and basic electrical experience preferred.
Desired candidate also needs to have experience trouble shooting and repairing all mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic problems in normal operation of equipment.
Additional responsibilities are the ability to fabricate steel and use of all related tools.
Must be proficient in using a tape measure, micrometer, dial indicator, feeler gauges, and calipers.
Preferred person will also have experience using tig and spot welder and acetylene torch.
It is required that the desired candidate has knowledge and experience following OSHA and EPA regulations.
The desired candidate will report to the Plant Manager and needs to be able to follow written and verbal instructions while making time efficient decisions as well as the ability to work independently and perform all other duties as assigned.
Pay will be based on verifiable job experience.
Hiring Requirements - Drug Testing/Screening - Background Checks - Reference Checks Must be able to successfully pass lift test, and pre-employment physical.
