50 an hour 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago SUMMARY The position of Maintenance Technician at Richmond Baking is expected to effectively and efficiently perform the expectations and guidelines outlined.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES It is the responsibility of the maintenance department to properly maintain the buildings and equipment.
The equipment should be maintained in proper working order through proper servicing.
To keep the plant properly screened and rodent proofed.
Install adequate barriersaround large work areas to help prevent possible contamination of the finished product.
Keep all tools, parts, etc.
separate from product zones.
To work with the plant sanitation supervisor to ensure all new equipment is installed in a manner as to be easily cleaned and meet all sanitary requirements.
To keep all electrical junction boxes closed and cleaned on a regular basis.
Maintain all electrical fixtures within OSHA requirements.
Must be able to read electrical drawings and blueprints.
Must have knowledge of 110, 220, 440 volt and DC voltage electricity.
Capable of wire up and repair of control panels, starters, disconnects, meters, and switches.
Be available to come in when called during emergency break downs, on any shift, and/or work more than one shift.
May be required to work shifts other than assigned during emergencies, vacation periods, shutdowns, or manpower shortage.
Be able to light, maintain, and start ovens and equipment.
Must keep work area clear and clean up after every job and maintain shop in an orderly manner with all items properly stored.
Provide break or reliefs to machine set up persons.
Must be able to climb ladders, over, under, and around machinery to work on equipment as necessary.
Attention to detail is very critical.
Must help and assist any personnel in the maintenance department including head of maintenance.
Keep all machinery lubricated, greased and oiled, and may be required to keep records of all lubrication.
May be required as called upon to do:
carpenter work, plumbing, and electrical (ie.
:
changing fuses, hanging lights, or changing bulbs).
May be required to do painting to the building, structure, or equipment.
Must comply with Driver Safety Policy.
Understand, learn and follow all Maintenance Technician guidelines, including Plex procedures.
Understand and comply with all policies set forth by management.
Follow all GMPs as well as HACCP procedures; understand, observe and comply with the handling and proper usage of color coded containers.
Follow and promote all safety policies and procedures and notify Supervision of any unsafe act immediately.
Properly fill out and return all necessary documentation and paperwork as instructed.
Notify Supervision/Maintenance of any needed repairs or required adjustments as soon as they are noted.
Perform any and all duties required to meet AIB, SQF, Company, and/or Governmental requirements/standards as set forth by Richmond Baking Company.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Capable of lifting 50 lb, frequently.
Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.
Richmond Baking may utilize a Fuji Operator to act as a Trainer intermittently.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalency is preferred.
Two to six years related experience and/or training, preferably in manufacturing or distribution companies; Food industry background a plus; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills essential for effectively fulfill the job requirements.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common articles and documents.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or concerns from co-workers and management.
Ability to write legibly and appropriately complete necessary paperwork and documentation for said position.
Ability to effectively present information to management, union personnel and third party representatives when appropriate.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to understand mathematical concepts to effectively analyze statistics regarding internal data such as throughputs, productivity, scrap and percent to goal calculations.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
