The Assistant Shop Manager is a leader who exemplifies Parlor values and upholds standards and policies.
The Assistant Shop Manager is responsible for supporting the Shop Manager in hiring/developing staff, managing day-to- day operations, establishing a productive and efficient work atmosphere, and meeting financial/operational targets.
To be successful in this role, the Assistant Shop Manager should be mindful of supporting leadership and cultivating operational culture by supporting team develop and productivity, while ensuring shop profitability.
Duties & Responsibilities 1.
Cultivate Parlor's mission and values.
2.
Support day-to-day operations to ensure excellence, cleanliness, and quality.
3.
Serve as point of contact with corporate staff and maintain lines of communication.
4.
Support training/development in accord with Parlor standards, including:
Ensuring all employment-related paper/forms are completed on a timely basis.
Set work schedules and verify timecards.
5.
Work to reduce expenses, enhance productivity, and maximize profitability.
6.
Manage shop to meet goals/targets for staffing, cost of goods sold, and waste.
7.
Have a knowledge of every area within the business, including:
Working at least 30 hours/week in the various departments (in the schedule).
8.
Ensure staff follows all policies/procedures as well as health & safety regulations.
9.
Provide solutions to issues and seek opportunities for improvement.
10.
Ordering/purchasing supplies needed from approved vendors.
11.
Foster and implement a team working environment.
12.
Maintain and manage professional character within the workplace.
13.
Respond to team member and customer concerns.
14.
Assist in recruitment and training of new employees.
15.
Assist in supervising department managers by providing open lines of communication.

Must obtain/maintain ServSafe Manager or State certification.
3.
Knowledge/training/certification in kitchen emergencies (First Aid, CPR, Fires).
4.
Customer service experience.
5.
Management experience.
